What the Meyer Foundation does

On behalf of the children. Always.

The Meyer Foundation operates exclusively for the benefit of the Meyer Children’s Hospital in Florence. It conducts fundraising activities with social marketing tools, communication and partnership relations.

Thanks to the donations from individuals and businesses, the Meyer Children’s Hospital Foundation gives its support for research innovation, clinical development family and children welcoming.

MISSION

  •  We devote our efforts to support scientific research, including investing in young peoptalent and collaborations with other international entities.
  • We invest in the continuous updating of technology and organizational methodologies.
  • We work to improve the quality of care and hospitalization of the infant, child, adolescent and their families.
  • We support communication strategies of Meyer’s global activity in the regional and national territory.
  • We promote and organize cultural paths on the declination of illness from physical, psychological and social perspectives.

For our little patients

A misura di bambino: inside the Meyer Hospital, everything is conceived and designed for children and their families. Colourful walls, child-friendly furnishings, video animations and lots of greenery in the park outside.

A child’s smile is part of the cure: high medical and technological competence, but also special care for young patients to ensure they can still remain children during the difficult experience of hospitalisation.

For families

An important commitment of the Meyer Foundation is reserved for hospitality support for families who have their child hospitalized at our hospital.
We try to provide hospitality for the families of our young inpatients, especially those from afar, to enable them to face united the period of their children’s hospitalization at the Hospital.

For the Hospital

Scientific research and clinical and technological development. Good care lays its foundation in good research. That is why Meyer Hospital and its Foundation support clinical research as much as possible.
Alongside the important research projects is the need for an evolved, technologically advanced facility that can increasingly guarantee a certain, efficient and timely response in the diagnosis of our children’s diseases
